Frug, also known as The Frug, is a Rilo Kiley song appearing on their 1999 self-titled EP. It is sung by Jenny Lewis, with back-up singing by the rest of the band. All songs on the album are credited as written by Blake & Jenny.
The song was first recorded by the band on May 2, 1998 at Sandbox Recording Studio, and appeared on a demo tape called Sandbox Sessions 5/2/98. The song was rerecorded for inclusion on the self-titled Rilo Kiley EP.

The song's title and lyrics reference the dances the Frug, the RoboCop, the Freddie, the Smurf, and Shuffle Off to Buffalo. In the movie Troop Beverly Hills, Jenny's character Hannah Nefler did the Frug and the Freddie.
Music Video[]
A music video was released on June 12, 1999, directed by Morgan J. Freeman. Freeman had used the song in his film Desert Blue, so he intermixed clips from the movie with footage of the band performing and playing around on a bedroom set, and footage of the band performing on an outdoor stage with no audience.
