Jennifer "Jenny" Diane Lewis (born January 8, 1976) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and actress. She was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the indie rock band Rilo Kiley.

Jenny was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has an older sister Leslie. She is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. Her parents, Linda Lewis and Eddie Gordon were part of a lounge act called Love's Way in Las Vegas at the time, and Linda went into labor with Jenny while on stage performing.

When her parents broke up around 1978, Linda relocated with Jenny and Leslie to Los Angeles. Linda worked three jobs, including waiting tables, to rebuild her life with her life with her daughters. At two or three years old, Jenny was discovered by the powerful Hollywood agent Iris Burton, and began auditioning for commercials and later TV and movies.

Jenny attended Van Nuys Middle School, and gave her first live singing performance at her eighth grade graduation talent show, singing Killing Me Softly With His Song.
