Suburban Beat was a television pilot that aired on NBC on August 17, 1985, about a group of suburban ladies who take it upon themselves to solve a series of murders in their neighborhood. It was written by Eugenie Ross-Leming and Brad Buckner, and directed by Mike Vejar. The show was not successful enough to be picked up as a series.

Jenny Lewis played Jennifer, the daughter of Dee Wallace Stone's character.

Plot[edit | edit source]

After the dead body of Ruby Sidowicz is found in the suburbs of Jericho Downs, several ladies in the neighborhood discover clues that she was involved in a prostitution ring. When the police are unwilling to investigate further, the girls take it upon themselves to gather more evidence, but they find themselves involved in more murder and nearly get killed themselves before the criminals are finally captured.
