Take Offs and Landings - 2nd cover.jpg

Take Offs and Landings is Rilo Kiley's debut full-length album. The album was produced and recorded by the band themselves. There are two versions in existence; the album was originally released under the vanity label "Rilo Records" on January 31, 2001 and then rereleased by Barsuk Records. The two versions have slight differences. The original version has a different album cover that does not feature airplane seats like the second version does. In addition, the track "Variations on a Theme (Science vs. Romance)" does not appear on the original release, and the original release has 10 minutes of silence before the secret track (the second version has one minute).
